Last Fall, I did something ‘scandalous’, I asked a service provider about their political leanings.
I said I was asking because I am very clear on my values, and it is important to me that my money is in alignment with them.
I know not everyone agrees with this, but it is what feels right for me.
They said they understood why I was asking, but that they didn’t feel comfortable telling me.
I said that I completely understood and thanked them.
I thought the conversation went well.
I guess it didn’t…because they emailed their list of thousands and thousands of subscribers about the interaction…then talked about it on socials…and then spoke on other people’s platforms about it.
And let me tell you…the aftermath has NOT been fun.
I have been in hiding ever since. And in therapy…
Someday I will tell the whole story.
But as of right now I am still playing a game of, ‘Are you a friend or just friend-shaped?’ with people in the online business space.
But also…hiding isn’t serving me. And it sure as heck isn’t serving you.
My whole reason for being in business is to help people double their revenue with emails that connect and funnels that convert.
I can’t do that if I am in hiding.
So, I am coming out of my hole.
Not only am I coming out of my hole, but I am going into full-on pre-launch mode because the other thing that happened was…
I pulled the plug on my launch. (It was a ROUGH time in my life…)
I have this email marketing course called ‘Make More Money with Emails’, and because of everything that went down, I pulled the plug hard and FAST.
But this amazing course is just, well, sitting there.
So, get ready to be sick of me. In the most loving way.
I am giving myself the MOST amount of grace as I dip my toes back into the world of being visible.
